How do I password protect a document

Password Protecting Your Document

You can password protect a document prior to sending it to any of your partners. You can also password protect your own document as an added method to ensure that nobody else can access it without permission. Simply follow these steps:

After uploading your document:

  1. Enter the names and emails of any applicable partners.
  2. Click “Advanced Options”.
  3. Check “Protect document with password”
  4. Enter desired password to be entered for access to the document.

Important: If you forget your password and you are an account holder, you will be permitted to retrieve your document password using your account password. If you do not have an account, you will need to contact the document originator to retrieve your document password.
